5 out of 4 Patterns: Summer’s Coming Blog Tour FINAL DAY

Today is the final day of the Summer’s Coming Blog Tour and SALE from 5 out of 4 Patterns! I have been sewing like crazy to get all the things completed and today is a good day! Now that I’ve relaxed a bit(NOT), I’m headed for to the website to take advantage of this final day of the SALE and you should too!!!

I love sewing for my kids… who doesn’t? I’m always so proud of how sweet they look and they are so so so excited about Mommy making them something just for each of them. When I need to sew for each of them 5 out of 4 is always the first place I look, especially for summer items! So, it’s no surprise that when I signed up for the Summer’s Coming Blog Tour I had no shortage of awesome options!

Let’s dive in!

I started this little project by deciding that I would make matching outfits for the three of them. Enter AGILITY!!! The Agility Tank/Dress is super versatile and can even be made a swim top… The other awesome thing about it is that it’s available in both girls’ and women’s sizing. For my 11 year old, she has nearly sized out of the girls’ option (goes up to size 18) but had she not been able to fit I could have easily moved to the women’s and still have them all matching. I could even do a Mommy & Me set! I mean, how cute is that!

I started with my youngest! I made her the T-Back Dress in Tangerine Rayon/Spandex from Sly Fox Fabrics. I trimmed in white cotton lycra. She might be the cutest 2-year old ever!

Next I moved on to my 5 year old. This time we kept the Agility but did a strappy back instead. I used some light cotton lycra from fabric.com with some coral cotton lycra scraps from Simply by Ti. She loves her “Arrow Dress” so much!

Lastly, I worked out an outfit for my 11 year old. She really wanted some shorts so I decided on the Women’s Boardshorts and an Agility Tank. She was so thrilled there was a little jumping up and down…

My girls couldn’t be happier and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it all turned out!
